Moon In Cancer

The moon in cancer is your healing time. While your emotions are in focus, reach out to friends and family and remind them that they're important. Quality time is good, but be careful to maintain your independence and not become too reliant on others during this kick-back-and-chill time.

Be a home body for a while during the Cancer Moon, and spend some time with yourself.

Planetary Information

The Sun

The Sun is in Aquarius

The Sun is at 15 Aqu 09' 32", and is 147458642 km away and receding.

The Sun In Aquarius

When the Sun moves into the mentally active and social sign of Aquarius, it’s time to come back out and reconnect with the world. Aquarius is an intellectual sign that embraces originality and freedom, so you’re free to walk to the beat of your own drum under the Aquarius Sun!

But as much as the Water-bearer prizes individuality, this sign is also intently aware of humanity as a whole, and champions the rights of all people. The Sun’s transit through revolutionary Aquarius is an opportunity to step back from our individual identities, and realize that every living thing on Earth is valuable and connected.

Change begins with YOU while the Sun moves through idealistic Aquarius! Consider volunteering. Aquarius is the humanitarian of the zodiac, greatly concerned with the lives and situations of others. Help support the greater good by spending time volunteering for a cause that’s important to you. Aquarius stands up for the equality of all, yet still celebrates the differences of each individual. Instead of looking at others as a faceless mass, look at the unique qualities of everyone around you, and realize that each person has something to contribute to the world.

As the most socially-aware sign, Aquarius’ money is well spent on helping out causes that are very important to them. While the Sun’s in Aquarius, put yourself aside and give what you can to a homeless shelter, animal rescue group, climate conservation effort, or any other cause that serves the greatest good.

Mercury

Mercury is in Capricorn

Mercury is prograde at 20 Cap 41' 40", moving at 1.2 degrees per day, and is 161919374 km away and receding.

Mercury In Capricorn

Capricorn is the businessman of the zodiac, with its sights set on efficiency and success. While Mercury spends time here, we are inspired to think and act in ways that will help us reach our goals. Capricorn’s influence clears up our thoughts, helping us hone in on the most important and fruitful ideas. We’re also able to be more direct in our communication during this transit, cutting down on misunderstandings and wasted time.

One of the biggest benefits during Mercury in Capricorn is the building of ideas. The many thoughts that run through our minds are easier to organize, and we can see them like puzzle pieces, arranging them until they fit together in the way that makes the most sense. Once we can see our ideas as a solid form, we are able to take action and turn them into reality.

While we tend to be straightforward during this transit, we must beware of the tone we take when interacting with others. Capricorn is acutely aware of hierarchies, which means that conversation may become more controlling than constructive. We all think our ideas are the best ideas during Mercury in Capricorn, but if we spend too much time worrying about who’s in charge, we won’t end up getting much done.

Venus

Venus is in Pisces

Venus is prograde at 10 Pis 08' 56", moving at 1.24 degrees per day, and is 222418869 km away and approaching.

Venus In Pisces

We will all be under a hypnotic love spell while Venus is in Pisces! We’ll want to fall in love, be in love, and merge with the object of our affection. It’ll easier for us to connect with our significant other when this planet moves into this sign. Pisces is all about tapping into an alternate dream world so that we can shrug off the stresses of everyday life and focus on romance.

While everything seems dreamy and romantic, there is something we need to be cautious of. Venus in Pisces can fog up our judgment to the point that we overlook our partner’s flaws. Unless we’ve had plenty of time to get to know someone, this is not the best time to make a commitment. It’s easy to believe in love at first sight when Venus is in Pisces, so we need to take it slow so that we don’t end up falling in love with an illusion.

Still, seeing other people in an idealistic light isn’t always a bad thing. If we are in a relationship where we’ve felt nitpicky about our significant other’s shortcomings, enchanting Venus and compassionate Pisces can make us fully appreciate what we’ve got. Letting go of control allows us to have a deeper and more meaningful connection with our partner so that we can experience love in its purest form.

When it comes to the money side of Venus in Pisces, it’s a great time to cultivate an imaginative or spiritual pursuit and consider how to monetize it. Venus in Pisces, however, is not about chasing the almighty dollar. This transit would rather have us doing something charitable with our gifts.

Mars

Mars is in Gemini

Mars is prograde at 11 Gem 01' 14", moving at 0.24 degrees per day, and is 135475989 km away and receding.

Mars In Gemini

You can say goodbye to boredom while active Mars moves through curious Gemini. With Mars in Gemini, we’re so excited to explore new ideas and start new hobbies that we have no interest in sitting around idly. There’s so much out there to discover, and Mars’ transit through Gemini is just the time to do it.

However, because there are so many things that pique our interest during this transit, it’s hard to stay focused on one thing for too long. The challenge is to stay on track, or to realize that many tracks can take us to our goal. Diversity is the name of Gemini’s game, and Mars in Gemini is about tasting, rather than making a total commitment. We have a greater amount of flexibility when it comes to how we go after what we want. If Plan A doesn’t work out, it’s no problem. We can quickly come up with a Plan B, C, and even D.

Gemini is a childlike, fun-loving sign, but Mars in Gemini isn’t all fun and games. We’re quick to move from one thing to the next during this transit, but there could be consequences for leaving projects unfinished. We’re like butterflies, flitting about a garden of interests. This satisfies our need for discovery, but it could also make us feel generally scattered and unfocused.

Because Mars is the planet of action and drive, it’s no surprise that it’s also the planet of passion and sex. While Mars is in Gemini, the greatest erogenous zone becomes the brain, and we simply must have mental stimulation with our partners before anything else. A meeting of the minds is the biggest turn-on of all when Mars treks through this sign.

Jupiter

Jupiter is in Aries

Jupiter is prograde at 06 Ari 40' 41", moving at 0.19 degrees per day, and is 823360515 km away and receding.

Jupiter In Aries

Our minds are on fire during Jupiter in Aries, ignited with innovative ideas and lightning bolts of intuition. This is an opportunity to let go of the limits of our past and come up with new solutions for the future. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and is always willing to step fearlessly into uncharted territory. During this transit, we can see possibilities to better ourselves that we simply couldn't see before. With Jupiter in Aries, it's not about taking our time to slowly map out a strategized plan, it's about feeling the spark of inspiration and running with it. The more time we take, the more restrictions and problems we realize, which will hold us back. We are encouraged to shoot from the hip, knowing that every experience is a learning experience that helps us grow.

While Jupiter often encourages us to learn from others, Jupiter in Aries is more about self-teaching and self-learning. We mustn't be afraid to take risks and try things, whether we feel prepared or not. Trying and succeeding and trying and failing are both valuable ways of learning and growing. In fact, it may even be harder to maintain attention in a traditional "teacher-and-student" educational setting during this transit, because we need to learn things our own way.

There can, however, be a danger in becoming so focused on ourselves and our own viewpoints. Opinions run hot during Jupiter in Aries, and we're impatient for action, which can fan the flames of confrontation both politically and socially. When we reject the importance of two-way dialogue, we close ourselves off to learning -- and that is a Jupiter no-no! Even though there's extra emphasis on our personal mindsets during this transit, we stifle ourselves if we think too narrowly. Remember, this is a time to expand, not to contract.

During Jupiter's transit through Aries, we make our own luck. When we embrace the power we have to control the direction of our lives, we are able to open up opportunities, solutions, relationships, and fortune that we were blind to before. Jupiter wants us to expand and embrace our potential as individuals, and to realize that we each hold the key to our big, bright, and happy futures, but it is up to us to put it in the lock and turn.

Saturn

Saturn is in Aquarius

Saturn is prograde at 26 Aqu 14' 27", moving at 0.12 degrees per day, and is 1614484890 km away and receding.

Saturn In Aquarius

Aquarian energy is humanitarian. It is full of boundless ideas about what will improve the lives of others, and how shared efforts can make the world a better place. As the 11th sign of the zodiac, Aquarius rules over the 11th House of Groups and Visions. This is the playground of visionaries, inventors, and creators. But as with anything airy, this sign exists primarily on the mental plane. This is why when grounded and pragmatic Saturn moves into Aquarius, the two inspire each other in truly monumental ways.

With this focus on structure in the realm of groups and visions, now is the perfect time for us to connect with others and take action on our most lofty plans: find ways to give back to the community, network in some way with people in your field, or lay the groundwork for that non-profit that's been kicked around for ages.

Saturn in Aquarius can also be a very auspicious time to begin or deepen a relationship. This transit brings people together to reach beyond the individual’s capabilities. Romances or marriages that are established during this time are some of the most powerful and activated unions of all.

As much as this transit strengthens and deepens connections, it also has the potential to end that which is no longer serving us (or maybe never did in the first place). Be on the lookout for people and connections that drain you, and be ready to let them go. Now is the time for building sturdy and lasting structures. Sometimes this means letting go of weak links in friendship, love, and work.

Uranus

Uranus is in Taurus

Uranus is prograde at 15 Tau 00' 26", moving at 0.01 degrees per day, and is 2938514112 km away and receding.

Uranus In Taurus

Taurus is a sign that likes things steady and stable, and isn’t the best at handling big, sudden changes. But big, sudden changes are what Uranus is all about! Taurus would prefer to stick to the status quo and keep doing things the way they’ve always been done. The problem is, the old ways aren’t always the best ways. Even if we are resistant to the changes Uranus in Taurus brings, we have no choice but to go along for the ride, and, chances are, we’ll realize in the end that these changes brought us to a much better place.

Money is Taurus’ main area of expertise, so while Uranus is in Taurus, we can expect some very revolutionary ways of handling and dealing with money, both nationwide and worldwide. During the seven years Uranus will spend in Taurus, brand-new forms of currency may arise, banks and banking could come to a halt or change dramatically, and the housing and stock markets may be in for a major shake-up.

On a more personal level, Uranus in Taurus encourages us to break free from the grips of money: debt, taxes, credit card interest, rent, and mortgages are all things that can prevent us from saving money or using it the way we want to. We may also feel trapped by our material possessions in general. During this transit, we must be ready and willing to change our relationship to money and materialism. We no longer have a choice. Uranus is here to liberate us, and digging in our heels and resisting won’t make things any easier, and won’t stop these changes from happening. The changes we make during this period can actually help bring us to a point of greater stability, and can be very long-lasting.

Neptune

Neptune is in Pisces

Neptune is prograde at 23 Pis 41' 55", moving at 0.03 degrees per day, and is 4589107862 km away and receding.

Neptune In Pisces

Neptune in Pisces grants us a unique form of sight. As the Piscean focus on emotion and spirit merges with Neptune’s pull to unify all things, a clarity emerges from the fog, shedding light on our own contradictions. We can suddenly see clearly the futility of caring about petty differences. The value of coming together shines like gold, and the path to wholeness is illuminated.

This transit calls us to look at what we each can contribute toward our collective progress and healing. We all have gifts, ideas, and dreams for how things could be. Neptune in Pisces is an invitation to explore our emotional intelligence for our own unique offerings.

This is the perfect time to take a course in a spiritual path that calls to us, or to create an altar space at home and connect with that which feels most sacred. The energy of Neptune in Pisces nudges us to consider how to then share these ideas with the world, and reminds us that its presence will support us in this process.

Pluto

Pluto is in Capricorn

Pluto is prograde at 28 Cap 46' 07", moving at 0.03 degrees per day, and is 5332272668 km away and approaching.

Pluto In Capricorn

Pluto and Capricorn are both oriented toward success and power, sharing a strong sense of intention and focus that makes them very efficient in their tasks. We may find that our compassion for the viewpoints of other people gets cast aside during this transit, though, since both Pluto and Capricorn demand results. Beware of being intolerant of ideas other than your own.

Pluto wants us to jettison our negative patterns that no longer work for us. Of course, this involves some constructive destruction. Be deliberate in what you destroy as you create.

The Sun

Sun Square Uranus

Surprises may be in store for you today. These surprises may be disruptive and, if so, they are designed to help you grow. Look upon them as challenges and learning experiences. Problems today could come because of your eccentric behavior. Avoid bohemian tendencies and doing things just to be different. People are likely to take offense at your uniqueness. Don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself. Be alert today as impulsiveness may lead to accidents. Resist the urge to overthrow everything just for the sake of something new.The ego is quite large when the Sun is square or opposite Uranus. This is largely due to the fact that these people’s very identities ride on their sense of personal freedom. It can be quite a challenge to get them to do what they don’t want to do, simply because they see any attempts to push them in a certain direction as threatening their freedom. These are very dynamic individuals who question tradition and authority, yet, paradoxically, are quite set in their own ways. These people have a love-hate relationship with their own uniqueness. Much of the time they are very proud of their original personalities. Other times, they feel a bit left out for being “different”. Although they are humanitarian in many ways, they can be a little brusque when it comes to sentimentality or what they perceive to be excessive attachment to the past or to tradition. When the Sun and Uranus form a challenging aspect, there can be a lot of nervous energy and defensiveness. It can be difficult to hold a 9 to 5 job or to develop steady routines. They work best when they can manage their own schedules. They work in spurts. When they are hit with creative inspiration, they are capable of tremendous effort. However, they can be quite temperamental, and it is very hard for them to pour their hearts and souls into something that they don’t “feel” for at the moment. They don’t like superficiality or pretense, which is an admirable trait. However, their disdain for pretense can be problematic in a world where people are expected to perform whether they are inspired or not! I have a daughter who has the Sun in challenging aspect to Uranus, and there was quite an adjustment period when she entered first grade–a time when kids begin to truly experience structure. When the children in her gym class were told to dance, she simply stood there, immobile. When asked why she was not dancing, she replied, “But I don’t feel the dance inside of me, so how can I dance?” Sun-Uranus people don’t always feel like they “fit in” with the rules and structures of society. However, those that recognize the need to conform at least some of the time may be able to channel their high levels of intuition, inventiveness, and spiritedness into creative endeavors or important causes. They might find that they encounter much less resistance in day-to-day life this way. Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Uranus: Squares – Alan Alda, Billy Crystal, Stephen King, O. Henry (writer), Wynonna Judd (Sun square Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto), John Ritter, Dennis Rodman, Oliver Stone, George Washington, Bono (U2), Dustin Hoffman; Oppositions – Kevin Costner, Lauren Bacall, Ray Bradbury, Frank Capra, Billy Corgan, the Olsen twins, Geena Davis.

Venus

Venus Square Mars

Your involvement with the opposite sex today may not be as harmonious as you would like. There's just some sort of tension going on today between you and they. Take the time to give and take, to find some kind of balance. There may be some sort of love-hate emotion that is present today. It will pass, but as long as it seems to be present, just keep your cool and remember the Golden Rule. Focus on the needs of others today and forget your own needs. The problems today may come through your own selfishness, if you give in to it. Communicate. It might clear up any misunderstanding.Whether it’s an infatuation or a full-blown love affair, relationships get these people out of bed in the morning. They are passionate people who seem to need an active romantic and sexual life to drive them. Often, this area of life is somewhat challenging, especially in youth. As much as they want to be involved in a passionate affair, their timing can be off and/or it’s difficult to find a relationship that mirrors their strong desires and expectations. Especially when they are young, there can be a real awkwardness in their social skills–this may or may not be apparent to others, but these people most definitely feel it themselves. These people are highly creative and generally are driven to express that creativity. Their passion for romance is often channeled into their creative output. For example, challenges in relationships may be a large part of the drive behind their poetry, music, or other art.Love and hate are very much mixed together for people with Venus square or opposition Mars in their birth charts. They are prone to love-hate relationships with others, likely because their passions are such that the old saying “there’s a fine line between love and hate” rings especially true. Some level of competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst is present in their romantic relationships. In some cases, abuse is present, either in the form of receiving or giving it. Although they are quick to anger, they are generally just as quick to forget about it.Interpretation sample from the Karmic Insight report — In this lifetime the erotic impulses of human love, desire, and sexual relationships are a highly charged focus of your attention. Expressing your sexual energies and personal magnetic attractiveness in ways that are loving and respectful or at least not harmful to yourself and others will be one of your issues. Dominating others through your sexuality or allowing yourself to be dominated in this way is also a theme. Dissonance or turbulence in intimate relationships, especially over differences in sexual drives or needs, must be handled with care. Expressing your passion in ways that are compatible with your own values and sense of beauty is the key here.On another level, balancing and integrating masculine and feminine energies within yourself is the challenge. Carrying or wearing watermelon tourmaline can be quite useful along these lines. Some Famous People with the Venus in Hard Aspect to Mars: Squares – Woody Allen, Antonio Banderas, Tyra Banks, Linda Blair, Albert Camus, Geena Davis, Phil Donahue, Richard Dreyfuss, Jodie Foster, Stephen Foster, Patty Hearst, Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Jeremy Irons, Kevin Kline, D.H. Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.

#Cancer, the unnerving unsettled energy of this Full Moon is throwing you off your rhythm – don’t worry though, any chaos or confusion should soon be resolved. That being said, there is still potential for progress and opportunity in the chaos, as long as you find the courage to take a chance. #Leo, be on the lookout for new and exciting doors opening up in the next 24 hours! With the lunar transition, the potential for personal and professional growth is strong, so don’t be afraid to step into the unknown. #Moonchild #astrology
