13 October, 2024
Solar activity fell to low levels. What was likely AR 3842, which is now well beyond the west limb, kicked off the period with the end of a long duration C9 flare that had peaked during the previous UTC day. This was the largest flare of the period. Region 3848 (N14W67, Dko/beta-gamma) produced a few C-class flares, the largest of which was a C5.7 flare at 12/0456 UTC. Region 3852 (S11W02, Dki/beta-delta) maintained a weak delta signature in the trailing portion of its large, leading penumbra and produced a C3.4 at 12/1315 UTC. New spots were noted near N11W10 and N05E54, but remain unnumbered at this time as we await USAF observatory reports to corroborate. An easterly, CME associated with M-class flares from AR 3854 on 11 Oct, was modeled and determined to be a glancing blow at Earth on 16 Oct. No new Earth-directed CMEs were observed.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is high, making retrograde effects significantly increased!
Solar wind parameters reflected weakening CME effects. Total field steadily decreased to 1-2 nT over the course of the period. The Bz component underwent an extended, southward deflection reaching -6 nT near mid UTC day, but was otherwise neutral or northward. Solar wind speeds ranged from ~500 to ~700 km/s, and phi was variable.
There is a 40% chance of solar activity, with a 10% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.

Oh, cosmic voyagers! Brace yourselves for a wild ride because the Moon is kicking its boots off and chilling in Aquarius like a mad scientist at a disco party. Currently, it's approximately only 365,565.866497371 kilometers away. I know, right? Quite the social distancing champ we have here. Now, as your friendly neighborhood astrologer, I must tell you, a Moon in Aquarius is like a unicorn in your garden - whimsically weird, but also promising a dash of magic! This lunar position is all about embracing your unique quirkiness. So, if you feel like wearing socks with sandals or eating a pizza with pineapple (yes, I said it!) - go for it! Let your freak flag fly high! What's more? Our celestial rock is preparing to pack up its nerdy science books and its tie-dye shirts to shift into the dreamy realm of Pisces within the next 24 hours. So, buckle up, folks! It's going to be like trading a Star Trek marathon for a deep dive into fantasy land, filled with unicorns, rainbows, and probably a talking cat or two. So, in the immortal words of the great philosopher, Spongebob Squarepants, "I'm ready, I'm ready!" And you should be too! Embrace the eccentricity, welcome the whimsy, and remember - the universe doesn't make mistakes, it just has a crazy sense of humor. Keep looking up, stargazers!Mercury is in Libra
Mercury will change from Libra to Scorpio in the next 24 hours.
Mercury is prograde at 29 Lib 07' 31", moving at 1.61 degrees per day, and is 211228987km away and approaching.Mercury Is In Libra
Beware, fellow Earthlings! Mercury is in Libra!
Alright stargazers, strap on your cosmic seatbelts and get ready for a wild ride. Mercury, our chatty neighbor, has decided to throw a party in Libra and you're all invited! This isn't just about star-crossed lovers or that cute barista who's been making eyes at you - nope, we're talking about everyone from your bossy aunt Bertha to that coworker who keeps stealing your sandwiches. It's like a high school reunion, except you actually have to talk to people.
Now, when Mercury and Libra get together, it's less 'Housewives' drama and more 'Justice League' diplomacy. Libra, in case you've forgotten, is represented by those scales you see in every courtroom drama, and Mercury is all about communication. So, imagine you're in an episode of 'Law & Order', but instead of catching bad guys, you're balancing out your relationships. Exciting? Maybe. Necessary? Absolutely!
Here's the catch though - the cosmic combo of Mercury and Libra can turn us into candy-coating diplomats. Don't let your sweet tooth fool you - sugar-coating issues won't make them disappear. Avoid playing the cosmic version of "nice guy" - honesty is still the best policy. Remember, variety is the spice of life, and that includes opinions too. You can be a Jedi of justice without resorting to Jedi mind tricks.
So, in the wise words of RoboCop, "Stay out of trouble", but remember to communicate openly, honestly, and with respect. After all, Mercury may be millions of kilometers away, but its influence is as close as your next conversation.
Venus is in Scorpio
Venus is prograde at 24 Sco 29' 47", moving at 1.21 degrees per day, and is 193229264km away and approaching.
Venus Is In Scorpio
Venus in Scorpio - Alien Remix
Attention earthlings! Your friendly neighborhood Venus has taken a detour and is currently chilling in Scorpio's backyard. We're talking about the celestial equivalent of swapping out your pumpkin spice latte for a double shot of espresso - it's gonna be intense!
Venus, our galactic social butterfly, has decided to buddy up with brooding Scorpio. This might sound like a plot from a cosmic sitcom, but trust me, it's no laughing matter. This pairing is like if Romeo and Juliet decided to go on a spelunking adventure - deep, dramatic, and likely to leave you questioning some life choices.
Now, I'm not saying you're gonna start obsessing over your crush like a teenager who's just discovered love songs, but... okay, that's exactly what I'm saying. It's time to trade in those candy crushes for some real heart palpitations. Love is gonna get real, folks, whether you're ready or not.
And remember those annoying relationship issues you've been avoiding like spoilers for the final season of Game of Thrones? Well, Venus in Scorpio is about as subtle as a fluorescent pink elephant in a tutu. It's time to shine a UV light on those shadows and deal with the gory details. Financial concerns? Power struggles? They're all coming out to party.
But hey, don't panic! It's not all doom and gloom. Sure, Venus in Scorpio can feel like you're doing emotional squats, but it's also a chance to strengthen your bonds. If you're prepared to face the music, this could be a transformative time that brings you closer to your partner. Think of it as couples therapy, but cheaper and with more stargazing.
So buckle up, space cadets! Venus in Scorpio is here to shake things up and it's going to be one hell of a cosmic ride!

Mars in Cancer: A Galactic Groovy Adventure
Gather 'round, cosmic comrades, for Mars is making a pit stop in the celestial Crab Shack of Cancer! *Cue dramatic space music* At a whopping 285,046,237.710341334km away, our fiery friend is really stretching its feelers into the watery world of Cancerian vibes. But fret not, dear stargazers, for this cosmic union is like a galactic potluck, blending the best of both worlds!
As Mars voyages through the sensitive seas of Cancer, we are graciously gifted with a cosmic combo of Martian initiative and Cancerian caretaking. You might feel like a celestial superhero, ready to preserve family values, honor the past, and use that futuristic jetpack to propel you gently into the days ahead.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "But Nerdy Astrologer, isn't Mars all about action, and Cancer more about chillin' in its cozy crab cave?" Well, my observant oracles, you're right! Mars may be toned down while cruising through Cancer, but it's still got those celestial get-up-and-go vibes. Channel that energy into some good ol' fashioned home improvement – just imagine, wielding your cosmic hammer and nails to create the ultimate intergalactic relaxation station!
But wait, there's more! Mars in Cancer also brings out the celestial mama bear in all of us. You may find yourself ready to defend your loved ones or fight for your domestic bliss with the ferocity of a supernova. This planetary pairing creates an intensely protective instinct that'd make even a Klingon warrior proud.
However, beware the dark side of this cosmic collaboration! Mars' journey through cautious Cancer can lead to some passive-aggressive tendencies. If your heart isn't in it, you might find yourself drifting through space without a clear course. Plus, actions taken under the influence of this celestial combo can sometimes be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful. So, stargazers, be mindful of your cosmic compass and remember to navigate with love and intention.
As Mars prepares to blast off from Cancer into the roaring realm of Leo in the next 24 hours, take a moment to reflect on the lessons learned during this cosmic adventure. Embrace the Martian-Cancerian balance of passion and preservation, and boldly go where no astro-nerd has gone before!
Jupiter is in Gemini

Jupiter Is In Gemini
Jupiter in Gemini: The Cosmic Comedy Show
Alright, star gazers, buckle up. Jupiter's pulled into Gemini's driveway and it's not just for a quick cup of sugar. It's like the universe's version of an intellectual house party! You know, the kind where you end up debating quantum physics with a philosophy major dressed like Albert Einstein at 2 AM. That's the kind of party Jupiter and Gemini throw together.
Jupiter is the Professor Dumbledore of planets, always encouraging us to expand our minds, while Gemini, our cosmic chatterbox, is the kid in the front row with their hand perpetually raised. "What's this? What does it mean? Why is it like that?" Yes, Gemini, we get it, you're curious. But this combo can leave us feeling like we just ran a mental marathon… in moon boots... uphill.
But hey, it's not all cerebral sweat and tears. Gemini's diversity adds technicolor to Jupiter’s intellectual black and white TV. Suddenly, we're not just at a crossroads, we're at the center of a cosmic spaghetti junction, with paths, shortcuts, bridges, and even a wormhole or two. It's like a choose-your-own-adventure book, but every page leads to more options.
And let's talk about the talk. Gemini is the social butterfly of the zodiac, flitting from one conversation to another. With Jupiter in town, everyone's got a dose of the cosmic giggles. Our witty repartee will be sharper than Sagittarius’s arrows, and we’ll find ourselves with more ideas than there are stars in the sky (okay, maybe not that many, but you get the idea).
While Jupiter is playing roommate with Gemini, expect to be busier than a Mars rover. We’ll be gobbling up information like a black hole, spitting out brilliant ideas like supernovae. The challenge will be to keep all those cosmic juggling balls in the air.
So, folks, as Jupiter swings through Gemini's starry neighborhood, remember to keep your mind as open as a satellite dish and as flexible as a space-time continuum. The floodgates of possibilities are about to unhinge. So whether you're pondering life's big questions or just deciding on pizza toppings, embrace the cosmic comedy that comes with this celestial transit. After all, we could all use a good
Saturn is in Pisces

Saturn Is In Pisces
Saturn In Pisces: E.T. Phone Home... Or Maybe Just Call Your Therapist
Alright, fellow stargazers, do you feel that? That's Saturn in Pisces and it's the perfect time to put on your space snorkel and dive deep into the nebula of your inner psyche. You know that crazy idea you've been toying with? The one about starting a unicorn grooming business or writing a memoir that details your love affair with pizza? Yeah, that one! Well, now's the time to stop daydreaming and start doing. Saturn, AKA the cosmic taskmaster, is teaming up with Pisces, the zodiac's dreamy fish, to give you a cosmic kick in the pants.
But beware, my celestial comrades, Saturn in Pisces isn't all rainbow rocket rides and interstellar ice cream. Saturn is like that nosy landlord who always seems to show up unannounced. Sure, he might catch you dancing in your underwear to '80s synth pop, but he's also there to tell you to clean up your act. So, instead of slapping a "No Alien Lifeforms Allowed" sign on your door, open it up and let Saturn in. His advice might be as welcomed as a black hole at a spaceship party, but trust me, it's worth listening to.
Now, with all this intergalactic introspection going on, it's not surprising if you're feeling a little like a sleep-deprived astronaut floating aimlessly in the void. But don't despair! This is the perfect time to channel your inner Zen master. Meditate, take a moonlit stroll, practice some deep space breathing techniques, or simply take an afternoon nap (just be sure to keep that dream journal handy!). And while you're at it, maybe hit the hay a bit early. You've got a universe inside you to explore and trust me, it's way more exciting than the latest episode of "Keeping Up with the Klingons".
So, in conclusion, embrace the lessons that Saturn in Pisces has to deliver. They may seem as foreign as a Martian language at first, but with some patience and open-mindedness, you'll soon be navigating your own personal cosmos like a seasoned space captain. And who knows, you might even decide to finally open that unicorn grooming business after all!
Uranus is in Taurus

Uranus Is In Taurus
Uranus in Taurus: A Cosmic Ride on the Bull
Alright, cosmic voyagers, brace yourselves! Uranus has swaggered into Taurus and let me tell you, this is like inviting a quantum physicist to a medieval joust. You just know it's going to get interesting!
Taurus, a zodiac sign slower than a dial-up connection in the '90s, prefers things steady and unchanging. Like binge-watching an entire series without a single plot twist or cliffhanger. But then along comes Uranus, the celestial equivalent of a software update right in the middle of your favorite game. It's disruptive, sure, but also necessary for leveling up!
Picture this: Uranus is the Spock of our solar system—logical, unemotional, and always ready to challenge the status quo. And Taurus? It's more of a Captain Kirk—passionate, loyal, and a bit stuck in its ways. This union is bound to create some Star Trek-level drama, folks!
And where does this drama unfold? In the realm of money—Taurus' favorite playground. With Uranus in Taurus for the next seven years, we're in for some revolutionary changes. Imagine cryptocurrency becoming as commonplace as ordering pizza online, banks turning into digital dinosaurs, and the housing and stock markets doing the cha-cha on a rollercoaster. Exciting or terrifying? You decide!
On a personal level, this transit is like that one episode where the crew realizes they’re trapped inside the Holodeck. We need to break free from the clutches of materialistic Borgs—debt, taxes, credit card interest, rent, mortgages—and redefine our relationship with money. Resistance is futile! Uranus is here to liberate us, and even the most stubborn among us (yes, Taurus, I'm looking at you) can't stop this cosmic transformation.
So buckle up, space cadets! This is one interstellar ride that promises to shake us out of our comfort zones and lead us towards greater stability. By the time Uranus packs up and warps out of Taurus, we might just thank it for the upgrade! Beam me up, Uranus!
Neptune is in Pisces
Neptune is retrograde at 27 Pis 55' 08", moving backwards at 0.03 degrees per day, and is 4334219974km away and receding.
Neptune Is In Pisces
Well, gather round stargazers and let me tell you a little something about our buddy Neptune who is currently sashaying its way through Pisces. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Who cares? I mean, Neptune is like 4.3 billion kilometers away, why should I give a darn?" Well, my friend, just like how we love that Wi-Fi signal from our neighbor's router, even though it's not in our living room, celestial bodies affect us from afar too! Now, Neptune in Pisces is like having a hot cup of cosmic tea, brewed with a healthy dose of emotion, a sprinkle of spirit, and a pinch of unity. Suddenly, you see the world from a new perspective, like when you finally clean your glasses after weeks of ignoring the smudges. Petty differences? Pfft, they vanish faster than my motivation to do laundry on Sundays. This combo calls for us to dig deep and figure out what we bring to the cosmic table. Maybe you're good at making people laugh, or maybe you can cook up a storm, or perhaps you're just really good at finding the best Netflix series before anyone else. Whatever it is, we all have something to contribute. This period is also the perfect time to explore your spiritual side. No, I'm not suggesting you start levitating or talking to your houseplants (unless that's your thing, then go for it). But it could be as simple as dedicating a quiet corner of your room for meditation, or really diving into that yoga practice you've been thinking about. The energy of Neptune in Pisces nudges us to share these ideas with the world. And remember, like a reliable Wi-Fi connection, Neptune's got your back during this process. So, whether you're sharing a newfound recipe, a hilarious joke, or your top pick for a binge-watch, know that Neptune is cheering you on from a mere 4.3 billion kilometers away!Pluto is in Capricorn
Pluto is prograde at 29 Cap 38' 32", moving at 0 degrees per day, and is 5227436281km away and receding.
Pluto Is In Capricorn
Alright, Earthlings! Strap in, because the cosmic roller coaster is about to take a wild turn. Pluto, our favorite misfit planet (or dwarf planet, for the pedantic among us) is doing its cosmic tango in Capricorn for another day before it sashays into Aquarius. Today, we're focusing on the oh-so-serious sign of the Goat. Now, you may be thinking, "Pluto and Capricorn? That's like putting Spock at a disco party!" And you're not wrong! Pluto, the brooding loner of our solar system, and Capricorn, the ambitious, no-nonsense taskmaster, together make a power couple that doesn't have time for your nonsense. They're here to get stuff done, even if it means throwing a few metaphorical elbows. During this transit, you might find yourself caring less about others' opinions and more about achieving results. Kind of like when you're playing Monopoly and suddenly realize Grandma isn't the sweet old lady you thought she was, but a ruthless property mogul who'll bankrupt you for landing on her hotel-riddled Park Place. Pluto, in all its dark and mysterious glory, wants us to let go of things that aren't working. It's a bit like a cosmic Marie Kondo, urging us to toss out what doesn't 'spark joy'. Except, in this case, it's more about chucking out negative patterns rather than that horrid sweater Aunt Mildred knitted for you last Christmas. Remember, destruction can be creative. Just ask any toddler or Godzilla. So, there you have it. Pluto in Capricorn. It's a bit like attending an intergalactic board meeting while wearing tie-dye. It's serious, it's quirky, and it's definitely going to shake things up. So, put on your cosmic hard hat and prepare for a day of constructive destruction. And remember, no matter how far away Pluto may be (I'm talking 5,373,325,522.063078880km away), its influence is just a cosmic heartbeat away.Current Planetary Aspects
Current Planetary Positions
Sun Trine Moon
There is a nice balance today between your emotional side and your ego. This will promote harmony with women, the public, family members, and children. Think about talking over emotional issues with the people you are close to as this transit brings harmony and a willingness to compromise and see the others' point of view.
When the Sun and Moon are in harmonious aspect, you may not be prepared for conflict and could be inclined to avoid rocking the boat. You may give in a little too often, if only to maintain a feeling of balance and harmony, as conflict is something not only disliked, it’s something you might fear. The tendency towards too much acceptance (of the self and of others) is most prominent with the trine. Question life, or run the risk of taking things for granted.
