Solar Activity
Solar activity has been at high levels with eleven M-Class flares over the period. Ten of the flares have been at the R1-Minor level and one being R2-Moderate. The R2-Moderate flare was an M5.5 at 04/1538 UTC originating from Region 3883 (S06E37, Eki/gamma-delta) which has been the primary producer of most of the flare activity. This region increased its length, experienced consolidation of the trailer spots, and shearing of its leader.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters remained slightly enhanced through the period most likely from the HSS associated with positive polarity CH86 and CH87. The total field has remained between 7-8 nT with a variable Bz component between -5 nT to +7 nT. Solar wind speeds have been around 450 km/s and the phi angle has remained in the positive (away from the Sun) orientation.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux has been at normal levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued to come down throughout the period dropping to 1 pfu around 04/1535 UTC.
